INTERNATIONAL MEMBERSHIP ATTRACTS SRI LANKA
A Sri Lankan optical conglomerate is the first overseas company, without a UK presence, to sign up to membership of the FMO, after the country emerges for 30 years of civil war.
Highray Enterprises (George Gooneratne Group) which includes twelve practices and a manufacturing lab, is looking forward to learning more about the way that the UK optical market functions.
“I am delighted that we have been selected as associate members of this esteemed organisation. We are hopeful that due to the end of the war and complete liberation of the country that we will flourish and we look forward to working with the FMO very closely,” said Mr D. Abeygooneratne, Proprietor of the Group.
Benefits of overseas FMO membership include:
*Manufacturing and frame distribution news
*Equipment, lens and frame focus groups
*Close links with optical lobbyists in Brussels
*EC Reporting
*Excellent networking opportunities
*Discounted rates on British Standards for optical appliances
*Optical Standards data
*Market data
